Hot Beets
We got beets! And patterns that need finishing and song that need echoing and games that need YOU!
Hey Noodlinos! Have you checked out our new YouTube channel yet? We're making vids inspired by the music games you know and love. Check it out here! These videos are great for school brain breaks, car rides and dentist waiting rooms.
But first!!!
Finish The Pattern - In this pattern recognition game, kids learn about the upright bass and how a walking bass line works. It’s a jazz appreciation game that you can play with your face. ✪
Echo Song - There's a Zoo - This song was inspired by a video playdate my child was having with her friend. Her friend said, “want to see the zoo inside my closet?” And the typewriters were immediately off to the races here at Noodle Loaf HQ. It’s a repeat after me style children’s song which helps kids with ear training for pitch and singing confidence. ✪
Jokes - Kids like jokes. Jokes like kids. These are jokes for kids by kids. ✪
Jam Along - We make a rhythm on a tree and invite you to jam along with us. This game encourages nature play, creativity and funkiness. For fans of Waldorf, Montessori and nature schools. BYOSticks. ✪
✪✪✪ FAMILIES BELONG - the new board book from Dan Saks available from Penguin Random House ✪✪✪

Periwinkle
SPECIAL GUESTS! Ed Droste from Grizzly Bear moderates a gam of Instrument or Animal! Piera Gelardi, co-founder of Refinery29 makes her music debut in a song about pajamas!
You shared photos of forts with us. We wrote a rhythm game about fortographs. Balls in your court Noodlinos!
Lots of fun on this show featuring contributions from special guests Ed Droste from Grizzly Bear and Piera Gelardi:
The kids went through a major fort phase during which we coined the term “fortograph.” You’re welcome English language. This Clap It Back rhythm game is all about forts, fortographs and developing a strong sense of rhythm ✪
Friend of the show (and family) Piera Gelardi wrote this All Day Pajamas song when her daughter was just a baby. She was envious of her child’s ability to wear pajamas all day without the judging stares of passersby. Piera sings lead on this Echo Song so Dan could stay home in his pajamas all day. ✪
Jokes (lolz) ✪
You know Ed Droste from the indie rock mega star band Grizzly Bear, but did you know that Ed is really good at knowing the differences between instruments and animals? That is why he is the special guest on this edition of Instrument or Animal, a trivia and music appreciation game where we say a word and you have to guess which category it falls under. ✪
Torte in a Fort
Two truths and a lie. True tooths and a fly. Few sleuths in a sty etc. etc. Red Herrings abound in this early April release. Catch them, or be caught!
The cool thing about you is that you can pretty much make a song up about anything anytime. This game called KaraYOUke gives you ample opportunity to do that and develop your improvisation abilities in the process. ✪
A hip-hop Echo Song about forts. Everyone can pretty much stop writing songs now. ✪
I take you on an Audio Walk through a snowy forest. Great for close listening and building aural awareness. And just being in tune with nature which is a great tune to be in. ✪
Take the skills you’ve learned so far and let em loose during a round of Jam Along, an improvisational rhythm game for all. ✪
Video Playdate
Won't you sing and dance with us? We've got a new song about video playdates, because there has been a major increase in those in our lives and possibly yours as well. Might as well sing about it :)
Video Playdate (Echo Song / Pitch Matching) ✪
Time To Move - Robot Dance (Creative Movement) ✪
You Make The Story (Verbal Improvisation) ✪
Knobs and Faders
Hey, how's it going? What's new? All is great you say? That's great to hear. Nothing to report on our end. Just some extra down time to fill with singing and dancing and drawing and having fun. Let's do those things together, ok? Great, bye!
Who doesn’t love a good rhyme? Barn / Yarn. Isn’t that fun?! Rhyme Time is our phonological awareness building party game. Highly recommended for fans of fun times. ✪
Knobs and faders keep you in control and so do salad bars. Cause you can take whatever you want. No onions? No problem. Extra feta? The more the betta. This Echo Song celebrates healthy eating and empowerment through choice. It also helps kids learn to sing. ✪
Kids Talking About Stuff is just that ✪
For the Guided Doodle grab a pencil and paper and then follow the instructions to draw a mystery drawing. This one develops listening skills, music appreciation and a sense of wonder. ✪
I Feelin’ It
Boom Bam! It's show note writing time! In today's episode we have a rhythm game about washing hands. #topical #yikes
Also, a song about the colors of the rainbow and we present our 2nd annual Trinidad Carnival recap.

Sparklebird
Get ready for some part singing! Your family is about to become an acapella group. But then you'll go solo so you can individually profess your admiration for the great Harriet Tubman. With nothing left to prove on vocal terrain, you will decide to express yourself using only your body. An entire music career in a 10 minute podcast. Good luck.

Name That Tune (Music Appreciation / Melody Recognition) ✪
Wobbly Tooths
These words aren't going to rhyme themselves. That's where you come in. Hats Pear Shoe Bum Tin. Cat Hair Yukon Gin. Matts Dared Lou "Jump In!" etc. There's an echo song that is kind of about Stevie Wonder, at least peripherally. And a mad lib style game but with more leeway. I strongly advise a listen.
Rhyme Time (Improvisation / Phonological Awareness) ✪
Magic and Surprises (Echo Song / Pitch Matching) ✪
You Make The Story (Verbal Improvisation) ✪
I Run on Grapes
I definitely prefer seedless grapes, yet I understand on an intellectual level that seeds are needed to grow more grapes. The whole situation is unclear to me. What I do know is that the grapes that I eat power the bike that I ride, and that is what is important here. The Noodle Loaf team takes a stab at singing those feelings in a trap song format on today's show. How'd we do? Also Popcatépetl.
We begin with a robot themed creative movement dancing game called Time to Move. You become a robot with two settings: 1. When you hear music you do a robot dance. 2. When the music stops you turn your body into the thing that I say i.e. honey ✪
Here at Noodle Loaf HQ we love riding our bikes. It’s an earth friendly way to get around, it’s good for our bodies and it’s super fun! This is an Echo Song song about riding bikes called I Got a Bicycle that will develop pitch matching, rhythm and rapping ✪
This edition of Clap It Back is about a volcano we used to live near in México called Popcatépetl. The name of the volcano is fun to say and even more fun to clap. This game develops beat awareness and listening skills. You gonna love it. ✪
Less Honking More Singing
Finally an echo song celebrating how much everyone in your family loves wearing a lot of layers in the winter time. Plus some patterns to finish, some songs to make up on the spot and a funky funky groove over which you are invited to jam. Traffic? What traffic?
